It is the policy of this Intermediate Unit to provide a safe, positive learning and working environment that is free from bullying, hazing, dating violence, sexual harassment and other discrimination, and retaliation. The Intermediate Unit is to comply with federal law and regulations under Title IX prohibiting sexual harassment, which is a form of unlawful discrimination on the basis of sex.
The Intermediate Unit shall provide programs and services to all eligible students without discrimination. Therefore, the Intermediate Unit is committed to the maintenance of a safe, positive learning environment for all students that is free from discrimination by providing all students with course offerings, counseling, assistance, services, employment and extracurricular activities without any form of discrimination, including Title IX sexual harassment. Discrimination is inconsistent with the rights of students and the educational and programmatic goals of the Intermediate Unit and is prohibited at or in the course of Intermediate Unit-sponsored programs or activities, including transportation to or from school or school-sponsored activities.
Title IX sexual harassment is defined in the following Board policies:

- Policy 103 - Non Discrimination Title IX Sexual Harassment - Students
Policy violations, including acts of retaliation or knowingly providing false information, may result in disciplinary consequences under applicable Board policy and procedures.
